Tony Benn supports the freegordon campaignSpeaking exclusively to the North West Evening Mail in March 2007, Tony Benn said: "I have had a lot of letters about this case and I think there is sufficient doubt over his conviction. "The letters I have received have been very long and detailed and explained why he has been wrongly convicted. "They have been thoughtfully put together and have argued the point for his innocence extremely eloquently. "I have read them all and as a result feel this is a miscarriage of justice and so am fully supporting this campaign and will do all I can to help."
