Vigil to mark third anniversary of Gordon's conviction - 26th January 2008

Family, friends and supporters held a vigil in St Ann's Square, Manchester, to mark the third anniversary of Gordon's conviction. Many thanks to all who attended.

Tony Benn supports the freegordon campaign

Speaking exclusively to the North West Evening Mail in March 2007, Tony Benn said:

"I have had a lot of letters about this case and I think there is sufficient doubt over his conviction.

"The letters I have received have been very long and detailed and explained why he has been wrongly convicted.

"They have been thoughtfully put together and have argued the point for his innocence extremely eloquently.

"I have read them all and as a result feel this is a miscarriage of justice and so am fully supporting this campaign and will do all I can to help."

Vigil held to mark second anniversary of Gordon's conviction - 27th Jan 2007

Family, friends and supporters held a vigil in St Ann's Square, Manchester, to mark the second anniversary of Gordon's conviction. Balloons were released and flyers handed out to the public to highlight Gordon's case. The vigil ended with prayers.

Thank you to everyone who came along and showed their solidarity with Gordon and his family, your support is greatly appreciated. Thanks also to those people who could not be with us today but who sent messages of support and best wishes to the campaign.

The family of Gordon Park are appealing for information on the following points:

• Do you know where Carol Park was going on 17th July 1976 ?
  
• Did you see Carol Park with a VW Beetle or its driver with at the motorway services at Charnock Richard ?
  
• Do you know somebody who owned or borrowed a VW Beetle who also visited Barrow-in-Furness or the Lake District ?
  
• Did you own VW Beetle and lend it to somebody in the summer of 1976 ?
  
• Can you recall anybody acting suspiciously around the time Carol disappeared in 1976 or when her body was discovered in 1997 or when the trial was ongoing in 2004/5 ?
